Charitable funding status.

ExhibitionThe One o’ Clock Gun & Time Ball Association has been awarded charitable funding status.

The committee would like to thank Linzi Beith, Charities Team Case Officer at OSCR for her advice and help over the past year.

We would also like to thank Colin Murray of EVOC for providing us with a first class constitution to send with our application.

Children’s book illustrator John Fardell had a difficult job judging the hundreds of entries which flooded in for the Greyfriars Bobby Children’s Painting Competition. The prizes will be presented at the One o’ Clock Gun Exhibition, Edinburgh Castle on Monday 4th October to mark World Animal Day.

The committee would also like to thank Cleo Jones, Manager of Information & Learning Resources, Edinburgh City Council for her invaluable help in organising the competition. The competition was so successful that the committee is planning to organise a similar competition to mark World Animal Day next year.

This week's photograph shows the One o' Clock Gun Exhibition at Edinburgh Castle.
