Colonel Huthwaite invited

Robert Louse StevensonColonel Huthwaite invited Brian McKenzie, John Lovie, John Bodsworth and George Robinson to attend the Battle Group Firm Base Working Group meeting held at Artillery House, Colinton last Thursday.

Captain Roy briefed the guests on the plans to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the One o’ Clock Gun.

Dr Roger Kinns will be giving a talk to the members of the Astronomical Society of Edinburgh on the city’s time service at 8.00 pm at the Augustine United Church, George IV Bridge, Edinburgh on Friday 4th February. The Society’s secretary Horst Meyerdierks has kindly invited the members of the One o’ Clock Gun & Time Ball Association to attend the talk.

The campaign to find the funding to set up a statue of ten-year-old Robert Louis Stevenson and his dog in North Berwick has begun. Both the 'Edinburgh Evening News' and 'The East Lothian Courier' are promoting the project. Donations would be gratefully received and should be sent to:
