John Peat

John Peat is one of the clockwinders who maintain the city's clocks for James Ritchie & Son. In addition to winding public clocks, John winds up the time ball on the Nelson Monument and drops it at one o' clock when the time gun fires. The photograph shows John with this grandchildren Holly and Ross.
